By now you will agree with me that buying and selling on the internet has come to stay, there are more virtual stores (online stores) than real stores (offline stores) with real locations because running a virtual store is cost effective.
All you it takes to run a virtual store is
- a domain ( the name of your store such as tonaton.com, ebay.com,bestbuy.com,amazon.com....)
- a hosting account( where your website data will be stored , companies such as hostgator.com provide a suitable hosting environments for e-commerce site)
- a payment system (you have to intergrete your online shop with and epayment system such as paypal.com, google.com and the rest to handle you merchant account)
- delivery system ( unless you are planning on running a digital shop , you will need to intergrete your online shop to a delivery firm that will handle your shipping and delivery)
Apart from that, there are also online classified site such as tonaton.com and olx.com which allow you to post your ads for free.
i have tried a couple of this sites and it works, it make buying and selling on the internet very easy.

- .biz stands for Business
- .info stands for information
- .org stands for Organization
- .com stands for Commercial
- .mobi stands for mobile
- .us stands for United States
- .edu stands for post-secondary educational establishments
- Is there another way? Yes, there is. Businesses should be making use of a domain name registration company to centrally administer all their domains. There are lots of very professional domain name registration companies that have been in business for years and that provide fully functional control panels that give their customers full control over their domain names. Then, all they have to do is change the name server details from their old host to their new host for each domain.
- Just to give a range: you should be able to get a provider that gives you all as described above for less than 20 US$ a year; assuming traffic is not to high (like < 5 GB per month), and size of website not too big (like < 50 MB). That is pretty decent, especially for personal websites.
- .net stands for Network
Just go to a site like hostgator.com (well i recommend them because they are credible and also domain bought from them are cheap) choose the domain you want ( the domain name should be short to make it very attractive) then checkout .
you will then be directed to a page why you can purchase the domain using a credit card or paypal.
well if you dont what to pass through this hussel just to get a website then follow this link

A Deputy Director at the Teacher Education Division of the Ghana Education Service, Rev Emmanuel K. Dadebo, has called for a review of the ban on the use of mobile phones by students in second cycle schools.
He said that since technology was an integral part of the curriculum, steps should rather be taken to ensure that the challenges confronting students’ use of the device were addressed for them to derive the huge benefits.
“Whether we like it or not, we are in a digital age and there are great opportunities that abound to students using mobile phones in this 21st century,” Rev Dadebo stated.
Speaking on the second day of the 65th annual New Year School and Conference at the University of Ghana, Legon, Rev Dadebo said, because secondary schools do not have adequate computers connected to the Internet, students should rather be guided to use their phones to support their studies.
The four-day event is being held on the theme: “Information and communication technology-driven education for sustainable human development: Challenges and prospects”.
He said the absence of internet connectivity in many second cycle schools had been a major setback to both ICT tutors and their students completing the curriculum on time, a frustration that undermined the academic performance of the students.
“I believe that allowing and guiding our students to put their personal mobile phone to proper use could empower them to do personal research and cover the curriculum,” he stressed.
He cited Nigeria as one African country where the failure of authorities to guide students led to cyber crimes.
“When the Nigerian government introduced ICT in secondary schools, it failed to provide the students the needed guidance and that pushed many students to go to Internet cafes where some of them learned to engage in cyber fraud,” Rev Dadebo said.
Ban, not to create problems
Rev Dadebo pointed out that the ban was not to create learning problems for the students but to guard them from going beyond certain bounds, such as using them to watch pornography and chatting with friends late into the night.
He said teachers had complained that some students either slept in class or were unable to concentrate, because they had engaged in free night calls, conceding also that mobile phones created unhealthy competition among students.
Nonetheless, Rev Dadebo indicated the need for a review of the ban, ‘since we are in a digital age”, he said.
For his part, the Director of the Centre for National Distance Learning and Open Schooling, Mr Joshua C. Mallet, said there was the need for stakeholders to explore the possibility of using ICT to increase access to education.
“If we deploy ICT properly, we can also have open ICT colleges to allow for more access to ICT education for our teachers and students alike,” he added

It was all glitz and glamour at the Glitz African Fashion Week (#GAFW) when technology met fashion on the runway during the Samsung Moment session of the night.
Top class models under the coordination of the executive producer of the #GAFW, Claudia Lumor walked the runway to display a unique blend of fashion and smartphones.
The Samsung Moment got the crowd cheering as models walked the runway with their sleek Samsung GALAXY Note 3 + Gear taking pictures, making phone calls and taking notes. This display was a great step in the merger of technology and fashion.
The audience had their Samsung Smartphones up to record and take snaps of all the fun and excitement on the runway to also participate in the Samsung Runway Snaps.
This was an opportunity for the audience to share their experience at the event which was trending live via #SamsungGlitz and #GAFW on Twitter.
The #GAFW was held at the Accra International Conference Center from November 7 to November 9, 2013. The show saw the participation of over 30 fashion designers from across the globe.
