The famous widely know yet most misunderstood scripture in the bible , john 3:16;quotes
" For God so love the world(the inhabitant of the world) That He gave His only begotten Son (Jesus Christ) that whoever belief in Him( no matter who you are , where you are from or what mistakes you have done) should not perish (go to hell) but have eternal life (go to heaven).
Jesus came into this world as a human so that He can relate with humans , because God is not flesh and blood but God is Spirit.
Think about this ;there were an army of ant searching for food and they were all heading to a fire , someone has to stop these ants but humans cant understand the way of the ant or speak their language , the only option available is to push them away , but they could die and many of them be injured.
The same way all the human race were heading to the pit of hell, therefore God appointed servants and many people to lead His creation on the right way (heaven). But many people were unable to follow this way because the nature (the impulse) of sin is still there.
Therefor HE came in human form (Jesus Christ) to die on the cross to take this nature of sin away and to wash our sin away by His precious blood.
This is how to accept His precious sacrifice.It is written in John 3:3 " unless a man be born again He cant enter into the kingdom of God".
So the first step to take in other to be a christian is to be born again. If you want to be born again say this prayer
"Father i thank you for sending your only begotten Son Jesus to die for me,
I confess Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and i believe in my Heart that He died for my sins and on the Third day He rose again from death.
I pray that you give me your Holy Spirit to dwell in me and Help me,
I thank you that am born again and my name is written in the Book of Life. Amen"
